Consignment Guidelines
• All items new or "like new" condition:
No stains, fading, tears, moth holes, torn linings, pills, snags, lint, pet hair, odors, missing/loose buttons or closures, broken zippers. We are looking for gently worn, not well-worn items or they will be donated to charity. Also please do not bring outdated clothing as it will automatically be donated as well.
• All items must be Designer or Better Brands:
Lesser quality items or mass market merchandise (Target, Kohl's, Walmart, Kmart brands, etc.) are usually cheap enough new, so we accept very few of these brands unless pristine or a really great knockoff.
• All items need to be pressed/wrinkle free: Cleanliness & appearance of your garment is crucial. All items need to be on hangers or neatly folded. Items requiring attention may not be accepted and donated to charity. A small fee may be charged per item that needs attention. PLEASE LOOK OVER YOUR ITEMS BEFORE BRINGING THEM IN.
• WearOvers is seasonal:
WearOvers selling cycle is seasonal and will try to sell your item all season as long (as it's saleable) or for a minium of 2 months. The earlier in the season an item is brought in, the longer it has on the selling floor before seasonal markdowns take place. WearOvers is not a museum. Our goal is to SELL your items not STORE them. We price all items to sell based on our experience on the saleability of used goods. Some items are worth more and take longer to sell. Alternatively, some items are more likely to sell at a discount. *Some items may be held for storage until the next seasonl and may not be subject to the regularly scheduled discounts.
• In-Season, "In-STYLE", & less than 5 years old or a "classic":
Clothing that is dated will not be accepted. If you're not wearing it, chances are no one else will. In addition, we do not accept vintage or estate clothing. WearOvers reserves the right to decline any/all merchandise, donate what's not saleable, and may limit the number of items.
• 50/40 split, all pricing determined by WearOvers:
WearOvers bases pricing on supply & demand. We’ll work hard to sell your items at a fair price. Consignor has option to receive 40% of final selling price in money or 50% store credit.
• Most Wanted by Our Shoppers...Accessories!!:
Our shoppers are always looking for good quality accessories. Handbags, Totes, Small Leathergoods, Scarves and especially Jewelry, both Costume & Fine.
• No waiting to get consignment balance due
At any time during consignment period, if your items have sold and you have a consignment balance, you have the option of either a check issued in store or immediate store credit, whichever you prefer.
• No appointment necessary ~ Stop in anytime:
When the mood to clear out your closet or jewelry box strikes, there's no need to wait. Just stop in during our normal business hours, no appointment is EVER necessary.
